Perfect!

We’ve probably had this hammock for 15 years.  I’m pretty sure this is the first time My Hero has taken a nap in it.  Strangely enough, there are no kids bugging him.

I’m having a perfect day too.  My sister and her family showed up here at 2:30 AM.  We sat around and drank coffee this morning while the cousins played!  My aunt showed up with a fabric delivery and to drink coffee.  They all left for a while to visit other family.

My day started out perfect, and it still is.  It’s 75 degrees and windy, so all the windows are open and it’s nice and cool.  I’ve got Nascar on tv and I’m knitting on Trevi.

Perfect!

You just have to taunt me with that photo! Oh for the opportunity to lay in a hammock COVERED in a quilt! We had those temps in April and May, but the rain kiboshed the hammock laying. And now that the rains have stopped, 90 degree temps really do not lend themselves to quilt covering while outside. I could wish for the chance in fall, but we generally have 80-90 temps up until October, and then by the time the temps are cool enough, the tress, grass and flowers are all brown. Not the same.

Delurking long enough to say – what a perfect summer picture! Is there anything more perfect than a man and his dog, sharing a nap in the sunshine? Thanks for this.

As a child, every time relatives would visit, the women would all congregate in the kitchen, drink gallons of coffee and see who could outtalk the the others. I loved being a witness to this. One aunt was a rancher and had the cutest sayings. I tried to memorize everything she said.

My Sunday was busy, but nice, glad yours was nice, too.

this post makes me want a hammock… it would require a yard which living in the city doesn’t give me… but a girl can dream!!

Every year I say I want a hammock. If it weren’t for the “getting in and out” I think it’d make a great place to recover these next couple weeks. =)

Hi! Just catching up on blogs and saw your Hero in the hammock. The only hammock’s I’ve seen are netted. Did you make a quilt to replace the netting? Lea-Ann
