Doesn’t that sound exciting??? Actually, it was. I finished my Rendezvous sweater in ten days. I’ve never knit a sweater that quickly in my life. (It helped that my mom was here and we sat around and knit a lot!!!)

I can’t even begin to tell you how pleased I am with this sweater. (I’d be more pleased if my body looked better, but I can’t fix that over night!) The pattern, a new one by Glenna of crazy knitting lady fame, has such great detail. For instance, notice the three garter rows at the high waist. Such a minor thing, but it really adds.

I love the cables, the moss stitch, and the stockinette along the sides.
I also have a new favorite yarn. It’s Blue Moon Fiber Arts Twisted in Spinel. I made the 47″ bust size, and only used 3 skeins. (I’ve ordered this yarn in two more colors!)

Speaking of detail, look at that cuff. I debated doing long sleeves, but decided to trust Glenna and do the 3/4 sleeves, and I’m glad I did.
I may redo the bindoff on the collar. It seems to be pulling just a big. Oh, and guess what? I haven’t blocked this sweater yet. What can I say? I love the yarn, and Glenna is a genius!
We spent the weekend camping for Frankie’s birthday. Do you think he had fun? He and a friend put miles on that four wheeler. There was also paintballing involved. There are a whole bunch of trees with yellow paint on them!

Georgie (the dog) had such a dilemma this weekend. She loves to sleep, and there was so much going on. If she fell asleep, she’d miss something. Here she is on Monday morning. She slept there for most of the day!

That’s our dirty laundry from camping. I gotta get busy!!!
Oh, and check out the stash sale in the last post.

Yike, laundry again! I would be sending it out.
That sweater is gorgeous. BMFA is my favorite yarn puvayor. I have not tried their heavier yarns. Time for me to branch out!

That sweater is gorgeous. And it is just my size, too! You are a super fast knitter.

Maria, how in the world do you DO it? This sweater is a beauty and I will have to create one as well. It is said that imitation is the purest form of flattery – and I believe that this is true. Your work is enviable! Love everything about it – especially the expertise that you knit with. I have just pulled out the pattern for the cashmere scarves that you made last year – so many knits, so little time…

OMG!! THat is absolutely stunning! And the color will look awesome on you! I have a FLS started in Spinel, and to think, you finished this in 10 days!! I need to get going

I want to make this sweater Maria! You are so inspiring, I even want to use the same yarn – different color though. Can you let me know how it fits? Do you like wearing it? I would probably make the XL depending on what you tell me about it. I am really excited but I need to clean the craft/yarn room before starting a new project. I think it would make Christmas knitting difficult however. . . hmmmmm.

Oh my. THIS is yummy.
I clearly need to order me up some yarn (I think I’ll go for Jasper) and a pattern.
Now… please stop knitting for a while. You’re making my queue completely outrageous!
