Passing Down Crazy

Because Sometimes the Best Thing You Can Give Your Kid is an Addiction…To Yarn

Hi, it’s Maria.

Just wanted to let you know that I’m still knitting. Honey and I are off for a week, just the two of us.  I still like him!!!

I’m almost done with the first sleeve of Mr Greenjeans.  My goal is to finish this sweater and then get back at my Damask Kauni.  I’m just being chicken,  because I’m not sure what to do with the neck and I have to steek the armholes.  I’m planning to pick up stitches and knit the sleeves down, unless anyone (Sally???) can tell me why I shouldn’t do it that way.  I’m open to suggestions.

Watch next week for lots of knitting.  Lexi (my college girl, blog partner) is coming home for a week.  She wants to hang out with ME and knit!!!

Hey Lexi, did you write that paper yet?

  1. That’s how I am planning to do my sleeves. I will most likely reverse the skeins since I am using more of the foreground color than the background color with this pattern. Also, don’t forget that if you want the color changes to go in the same direction on the sleeves as they did for the body, you have to knit from the other end of the skein (the yarn equivalent of turning the pattern upside for the sleeves).

I’ve slowed down on my Kauni b/c I am not sure what kind of neckline I’m going to do. I’m charting out the whole pattern to see where I want the shoulders to end, etc.

  2. No, the paper is getting written at home, either in the middle of the night or while kids are at school. I’m at college, in dorms, no one can concentrate here! (At least not me!)
