Because Sometimes the Best Thing You Can Give Your Kid is an Addiction…To Yarn

Life…Uncensored

I’m still alive. I haven’t written a post, because life has been…….well, just life.

  • Cleaned up computer desk.
  • Laundry.
  • Planted all my flowers. It’s looking pretty out there!
  • Made major decisions about kids schooling for next year.  Never say never. More on that later.
  • Cleaned a closet in my guest room. My mom and MIL will be happy.
  • Started putting my sewing room back together. I still have wallpaper on backorder.

Look at that. I haven’t even cleaned up the floor yet. I think I’m going to like it, although the dark wood is going to show everything. I have two bright red office chairs ordered, so myself and a sidekick can sew together. (That ties in with the education decision.)

I’m knitting on three different red lace project. That was purely coincidental. Ene’s Shawl, the test knit for Iris, and the Year of Lace project are all shades of orange red. I love them all, but it doesn’t make for exciting blogging because none of them look any different.

I’m hearing rumors that Seasons of Lace 2008 is going live tomorrow. If it does, and you watch the blog, you’ll be the first to know!

I’m off to knit on Ene and watch Nascar.

See you tomorrow!

  1. I like your wallpaper – your sewing room looks great!

I’m curious about you being able to plant all your flowers already. Here in western Pennsylvania, it’s not safe to plant before the end of May because of possible frost. You’re farther north than me – don’t you still have frost?

  2. Love your space…the floor looks great!

  3. School decisions huh? Can’t wait to hear.

  4. Love the way the room looks – inspiring! :0)

  5. The wallpaper is fabulous and with red chairs your room will be perfect!

  6. that bright wallpaper is wonderful. it looks like it will really be a very creative space!

  7. Hi, I really like your blog! Your sewing room is phenomenal! What great light!
You should post the progress of your lace, it allows us (me, anyway) to knit lace vicariously thru you!
I think I smell homeschooling in your future. It’s a concept we consider every year. I am interested to hear your decision.
    Happy sewing!

  8. Are you going to homeschool? All or a few of them?

I love the new wood floors. Awesome choice.
