Passing Down Crazy

Because Sometimes the Best Thing You Can Give Your Kid is an Addiction…To Yarn

What a Day This Has Been!

And it’s only two o’clock in the afternoon.

I was awakened this morning by Kid 5 saying, “Mom, the water from the toilet is running all over the floor.” Yeah, it was. And down the hall and into a register. Good thing the heat isn’t running right now.

I made two trips to school for stuff.

I splashed half of a can of tomato sauce down my shirt and jeans while making chili.

The last cup of flour added to the mixer went “poof” in my face. (Oh, are those chocolate chip cookies good!)

But look what came in the mail today.

I’m really in the mood to start more lacy stuff. With beads, of course.

After the week I had, I may just sit in the corner and drool, and string beads, one at a time!

  1. Sounds like a fairly typical morning with 5 kids. 😉

I just ordered my first beaded lace project! I’m looking forward to trying it.

  2. oh goodness – sounds like you had your hands full this morning. I’m glad the day ended well with beads though – go sit and knit, after today, you deserve the break 🙂

  3. I haven’t tried beading yet, but the sight of those beads sure makes my fingers itch to give it a try! :0)

  4. And my husband and kids added to the craziness of your day. Thanks for taking care of them too!

  5. String beads???
Okay, I admit it, I’ve never done a lace project w/ strung beads — I always use the crochet hook method. There are times when I think that strung beads would be nice…. they’ve GOT to go faster once you get to the knitting….
