Amazingly enough, it’s quiet here. And there are 7 kids in my house. Kid 2 was babysitting next door and the weather got funky, so she came over here with the kids. Right now it’s raining and blowing, but it’s not too serious.
Here’s my artsy shot for the week. I’m calling it “Iris in the Rain.” Pretty creative, huh?
I do have a yet another new project to show you. Only I’m not going to tell you what it is.
I purchased four cones (4480 yards) of JaggerSpun Zephyr DK yarn from Sarah’s Yarns. It’s the same yarn that’s used widely in laceweight. It also comes in all of the same colors. It’s 50% Tussah Silk and 50% Merino Wool. And I’m having fun. Before I do the big reveal, I have to decide if I’m truly this crazy. I’m thinking I am.
Our first week of summer vacation has been so peaceful. The kids are just hanging out. We’re slowly getting this house in order. It’s never perfect, but it’s not making me crazy any more. Kid 3 mowed the lawn today before it started to rain. Kid 1 is making dinner tonight. She’s making Chicken Curry.
My walk-in closet is a climb-over closet right now. I’m off to clean that up. And tonight I’m going to put a little more of a dent in the 4480 yards of Zephyr. Don’t you wish you knew what it’s going to be when it grows up? Joan is the only other person who knows what it is, and I’m going to have to send her wicked SIL back to her house if she tells!
