We got home tonight at about 8:30 PM. Since then I’ve done two loads of laundry, make a trek to W*l-Mart, visited my brother, and sorted a ton of mail. Kid #3 leaves for camp tomorrow morning and we still have to pack!
The Black Hills were wonderful. More about that when my brain has had a rest.
Did I knit on vacation??? A ton!!! I sat outside in the shade for about 3 hours almost every morning. I knit the cutest thing ever! And I can’t show you because it’s a baby gift and it’s for someone who reads my blog. If you really want to see, leave a comment and I’ll email a photo and details.
I can show you the other project that took up the bulk of my knitting time.
Meet Hydrangea. I’m test knitting the pattern for Susan. Take a look at the two she’s working on. Amazing!
I’m using Great Adirondack Soxie in the Hydrangea colorway. After seeing the name of the colorway, I had to use it. It’s not quite as bright as the photos. These photos were taken in the bright South Dakota sun on a very clear day!
To be honest, I didn’t think I was going to enjoy knitting this. I was so very wrong. I’ve loved working on it and I love the beads. There will be 3,000 beads in the whole thing. I’ve knit to the end of the charts, and I’m going to add one more repeat. I think I’ll block this half, just because I can’t wait until it’s done!
I have lots to share, both knitting and our vacation, but I’m falling asleep. I’ll get that kid off to camp and then I can think about other stuff
