Passing Down Crazy

Because Sometimes the Best Thing You Can Give Your Kid is an Addiction…To Yarn

There’s No Place Like Home!

Wow! What a week!!! Where were we? Nestor Falls, Ontario.  It was gorgeous!!! There was diving!

There was jumping. Look closely at where Honey’s feet were. It was all downhill from there!!! Big splash, let me tell you.

Most of the kids did the big jump as well. The water was 40 feet deep! The moms did not jump!!! We’re smarter than that.

There was flying too!

As in flying off the tube!!! Only one of three girls stayed on!

And of course there was knitting!

And more knitting!

Hydrangea is finished!!! I just have to block this half and learn how to kitchener stitch. (I’ve made a scad of socks and I always just do a three needle bindoff. Sue me!!!) Hopefully, I’ll have photos in a few days. I absolutely love this thing!!!

A great week was had by all. Now it’s laundry and cleaning up this house.

Oh, and I got sucked into Ravelympics. More on that soon! What is wrong with me???

  1. That diving photo is a bit scary. It must be a quick drop off! A great shot though. Looks like everyone had a wonderful time! Glad you are home safely.

  2. The water was 40 feet deep just below that cliff!!! The dads checked it out before anyone jumped!

  3. Wow! Beautiful photos. I’m glad to know that I’m not the only one who does 3 needle bind-offs for my socks! You know, if we do socks toe-up, we don’t have to worry about that at all!

  4. If the kitchener hurts you … mail it to me… I’ll do it for you.

  5. Hydrangea is beautiful! Kitchener stitching requires me to take a pain-killer of choice before, during and after – that’s because I can’t read the directions nor can I tell top from bottom, knit from purl or anything else. 3-needle bind-off sounds good to me. I may even do something like that when I knit my version. Don’t hold your breath because I do have to spin the yarn first.

  6. Hi, just found your blog through My charming kids website when I was reading tonight. I just want to tell you that your knitting is absolutely gorgeous. Being new to your site, I was curious to know if you ever sell any of your work. Love the socks, love the scarfs, everything is stunning and so much fun. I have tried to learn to knit and I just can’t get it down, some say it is because I am left handed. I don’t know for sure but if you do sell your products, please let me know.

    Thank you, Amy

  7. Knit in cashmere….I’m so jealous! I love the dark color, sure to be a favorite to snuggle in. If you ever need a good home to “store” this FO just let me know!
