Better Than a Birthday Cake!

Honey’s birthday was yesterday.  I won’t tell you how old he is!?!

He wanted pizza for his birthday dinner.  I’m pretty sure he was just trying to be nice.  He didn’t want me to cook a big meal in the middle of the first week of homeschooling!  He insisted the pizza was really good.

I decided that rather than a birthday cake, we would try something new.  We scored big.  I made a Malted Milk Chocolate Cheesecake. Holy moley, rocky!  It was wonderful.  I served it with fresh whipped cream and crushed Whoppers!

Heaven!!!  The only huge blessing problem is that there’s 3/4 of it left and it has a gazillion calories.

I’m so blessed to be married to the nicest, funniest guy in the world.  I love you, honey, even though I fell asleep at 9:30 last night, and didn’t even have time to visit you after all of our loud, wild children went to bed.  I actually went to bed with one of the loud, wild children.

I’m off to discuss Christopher Columbus with Kid 4, and to sort laundry.  What I really want to do is start a new knitting project.  Maybe tonight…

  4. Here’s to a wonderful birthday for your Honey! Maybe the cake will freeze well and you can pull out individual wrapped pieces to enjoy throughout the Fall season. Your lace shawl turned out beautiful. Did you find it blocked too large and would you make it slightly smaller next time? If there is a next time!
