This Isn’t a Quilt

My plan for today was to cut out a quilt.  I got distracted by orange and the fact that I only had the toes left.

Diamond and Lace Socks

Reynolds Sea Wool

Knit two at a time with Magic Loop.

They really could use a good blocking, but I’m morally opposed to blocking socks,  After all, isn’t that what feet are for?

Now I’m going to go cut out a quilt.

  1. Such a pretty orange. There is no fault in finishing a WIP before beginning a new quilt!

  2. But it’s two finished objects! How good are you getting that accomplished??? And the socks are perfect color for this time of year!

  3. Very nice! And yes, that’s what feet are for!

  4. Do you knit with the socks one inside the other? I really like the color.

  5. Great socks in a wonderful color. And now you can feel all virtuous for finishing an old project before starting a new one – and isn’t that an inspiration for the rest of us (me)!

How *do* you get so much accomplished in the quilting and knitting departments while home schooling, mothering/wifing, and (at least occasionally ;-)) cooking and cleaning? I think I must be spending too much time reading magazines or petting the cat or something; quilting/knitting doesn’t happen around here often enough to make appreciable progress.

  6. Beautiful socks – love the pattern and color – perfect for this time of year!

  7. You are in the fall spirit, I see? Or are you an orange-lover, like me?
I lurve fall and fall colors the bestest!!

  8. I’ve been hoping you’d resurrect the Kauni sweater one of these days. Yours was my inspiration to spend lots of money on yarn and pattern (of course I haven’t started it yet) so that I could make one too!
