Because Sometimes the Best Thing You Can Give Your Kid is an Addiction…To Yarn

I have a few questions today.

First, if all my laundry consists of sweatpants, pajamas, and underwear, is that a problem?

Second, how the heck do I get off this hamster wheel?

And third.  They say that husbands and wives start to look alike after a while.  Should I be worried?

I did get a little bit of knitting done.  I turned this:

into this:

It’s a vest for kid 5.  I’m knitting it all in once piece and I’m almost to the armholes.

I’m leaving tomorrow for a three day quilt retreat.  I’m the facilitator, but it’s an easy group and I’m on a quest.  I’m hoping to have a lot to show you on Sunday!

I guess I’m just going to have to take a flying leap off the hamster wheel.

  1. Be careful of any flying leaps with that leg! Have a great retreat!

  2. I love how your vest is turning out! I’ll have to take a 2nd look at that River Twist.

My thoughts on sweats, PJs, & underware – you’re living in total comfort. Nothing wrong with that!

Your hubby’s photo cracks me up. My hubby isn’t bald, but almost totally gray at 49 yo. I’ll keep dying 🙂

  3. OK I need to stick up for my son-in-law. He is someone that smiles almost full time, but he does love to make funny pictures.
I am missing the quilt retreat (where I knit). If you look back to Nov.’07 you will see this is the retreat where DD put my sister and I in the “looney bin”.

  4. Oh OH OOOHHH!!! One of us has serious looney bin memories and I don’t think it’s me.

  5. The only time to worry about the laundry list is when is doesn’t include underwear.

  6. If you can manage to churn out those incredible knits, plus raise all those kids, homeschool, and quilt (!!)…. stay on the hamster wheel. You’re doing it a heck of a lot better than I am!!
Have fun quilting; I’m looking forward to what you make!

  7. Let me see… 1. Why should that be a problem???? 2. As soon as I figure that out and get out of my own, I will be quite happy to let you know. 3. No, I am sure that you look equally cute.
(I am sorry to see that my attemps to teletransport that yarn is not succeeding…)
