Finally!  I sewed the buttons on Kid 5’s vest and we did a photo shoot.

The only shirt we could find had bears on it, but it works, and he’s happy.

I love all the color in this vest.  The yarn is Mountain Colors River Twist in the Trout Creek Colorway.  The pattern is Fast Favorite Vest from the Men in Knits book.  If you have men (both big and small) in your home to knit for and you don’t have this book, go buy it.  I’ve used it for numerous projects.

Of course we have to have the cute behind photo, and his is cute!

As you can see, I’ve started my Christmas decorating.  This is our junk tree and it’s in the kitchen.  The adult tree will go in the family room.  That’s my project for the weekend.

Tomorrow we need to finish up our homeschooling for the week and do lots of cooking.  Our youth pastor and his family live next door and they’re coming for dinner.  Our plan is to eat a lot and sit around.  I’m going to knit too!

Have a blessed Thanksgiving!

  5. Perfect little vest for your perfect little man! Reminds me of when my boys were little.

  6. That’s a most excellent vest!
I think I need to go see if our library has that book. I’ll then show it to the uber-picky DH to see if he’d wear any of the things in it. (Before I met him, he grew attached to super fine-gauge cashmere sweaters… I can’t compete… I’d have to knit on something like triple 0 or quad 0 needles… unlikely that I’ll get a man-size sweater done on THOSE… even if he is 5’7″..
