Happy Friday! I’m just sitting around in my immaculate house, eating chocolate and listening to Christmas music.
Yeah, right. The only part that’s true is that I’m listening to Christmas music. And there isn’t any chocolate in my house or I’d be eating it. I can show you a few things that are finished though.
My kitchen is clean…unless you walk around with bare feet. Just warnin’ ya! That’s our kitchen junk tree in the background. It’s adorned by all the ornaments the kids made in preschool and elementary school. There are also Veggietales ornaments, Disney stuff, and probably a few Nascar things mixed in.
My feather boa made it’s debut on the blog last year, but I love it and have to show it off again. The dining room is clean and your bare feet would be just fine. I even vacuumed. I also dusted the piano. Now let’s move on to the living room. Isn’t it perfect???
Oops! I guess this is my next project. There are no ornaments on the top foot of the tree. And there’s dust all over.
Actually, I’m home by myself today for the first time since September and I’m cleaning. My self cleaning oven decided it didn’t want to do its job any more. Guess who got to do it? Yep! I’m just picking up, dusting, and vacuuming. I’m actually starting to feel like I may be in control of my life again. I’m not even opening the kids bedroom doors. I like my reality.
I’m making an awesome scarf for a gift. It’s pretty quick to knit. If you have about 300 yards of a nice soft worsted yarn that’s begging to be a scarf, come back in the next day or two. I have an idea for you!
Gotta go. That ladder just doesn’t match my holiday decor!
