Because Sometimes the Best Thing You Can Give Your Kid is an Addiction…To Yarn

…and the dining room looks like this!

It’s not perfect, but it will do!  The kids and Honey all pitched in.  We won’t discuss the state of the bedrooms.

This is blocked:

I was holding my breath, because it needed some extra length and width.  I got it!!!  If this sweater had fit Honey perfectly before blocking, I would have been upset, but it’s going to be just perfect.  Sometimes you just get lucky.

Guess who else is glad to be home?

How many girls does it take to change a lightbulb?  I don’t know, but all three are in the basement, arguing like crazy!  I’m going to go in my bedroom, shut the door, and clean.  (And dream about knitting projects for 2009!)

  1. Doesn’t it feel great to get things somewhat back to normal? The sweater looks awesome! :o)

  2. Maybe after the sibling ‘discussion’ at least one of the girls will clean up a bedroom! And yours will look great, too. Your Hero sweater is really looking rich. Will be terrific to see the proverbial modeled shots! Happy Friday! Is it pizza time yet? (giggle)

  3. I’m so glad you are home safe and sound. There truly is no place like home. Happy New Year!

  4. Wow, send that clean up crew to MY house, will ya?? Glad the sweater worked out- can’t wait to see it on him! Happy New Year!

  5. I would like to state that it was not one light bulb. It was twenty-three light bulbs. And it took three girls and one boy to screw them all in. So it would take .17 girls to screw in one light bulb.

  6. You’ve been so productive! The cowl looks great! Glad to see the sweater is going to be perfect.

  7. Oh my, that is way gorgeous!

Thanks for your kind words about my purse!
