Bring On The Cold

I’m talking big since it’s 40 degrees here in balmy Minnesota.  It sure beats the -40 degrees a few weeks ago!

I have a new cowl for the next cold snap.  And, yes, there will be more cold.  It’s Minnesota.

Are you wondering how I can take a snow photo when it’s 40 degrees?  I was playing with some of the fun edit features in flickr.  The snow is fake.  Fun, huh?

I added a crocheted loop and a button, just to give it a little shape.  I’m happy.

The pattern:  Spiral Cowl (Rav. link)

The yarn:  Handmaiden Casbah

Color:  Renaissance

Oh, and under my coat and cowl, I’m still wearing my pajamas.  Again.  I was going to be half finished with digging out my sewing room by the time I had to run kids for after school stuff.  Crud!

Have a great weekend.  Oh, and if you’re looking for me tomorrow night, I’ll be watching NASCAR!

  3. I just told my husband ‘I’m having a ‘insert your name here in vase you don ‘t use it publicly’ Day’. I didn’t get in the shower (and out of jammies) until I showered and put clean pj’s on! I like the way you put the button on that cowl…I like them loose, but it would be nice at times to snug them up. Great idea!!
