Passing Down Crazy

Because Sometimes the Best Thing You Can Give Your Kid is an Addiction…To Yarn

This is what we woke up to this morning.

Now we’re home.  It’s windy, rainy, and icky.  It’s supposed to stay that way for the next several days.

But our vacation was perfect.  Skiing and snowboarding!

Games and Wednesday night youth group.  Who says you can’t have church in a cabin in the mountains!

More skiing!

And the food…let me just tell you, it was fabulous!  We ate ourselves silly!  If I listed everything we ate, you’d be shocked.

There was knitting too.  I should have had someone take a photo of me, in my pajamas, knitting.  I did a lot of it.

It was a fabulous week.  I’m so thankful for our week, that I’m not even going to complain about the rain that just started.

Have an awesome Monday!  I’m going to go unpack.

  1. Glad you had a good time. It’s raining cats and dogs here in Montana right now, so your timing was perfect!

  2. I’m so grateful you returned home safely and had a frabjous time.

  3. Sounds like a perfect vacation.

  4. The pictures are wonderful. Thanks for letting us in on your vacation. The new scarf is great too.

  5. In a way, it’s good to come home to a rainy grey day…it helps with the unpacking/laundry. Course you probably don’t have all that much laundry to do, being in pj’s all week…!!! I love that you hang in pj’s all the time (and more importantly, admit to it), it gives me hope!

  6. I am so glad you are home and safe, I read about a terrible plane accident involving a Montana ski vacation and my heart was in my throat, it still is—but I am grateful it wasn’t you or yours. I am so glad you had the opportunity too and have such a wonderful family to spend time with in this way!!! Have a very knitty week!!!

  7. Welcome back to mudville. But the birds are coming back, the grass is trying to turn green, and the leaf buds on some trees are swelling. What famous person said,” If Winter comes, can Spring be far behind”? A Betty

  8. Glad to hear you’re home safe and sound. The pictures are gorgeous. And if it makes you feel better, it’s been a gloomy kind of drizzly day here in Florida too!

  9. That kind of thing is normal here in Alberta–Friday everything was melting, we carried plants from greenhouse to greenhouse without protection, then on Sunday it was -10 Celsius, and we had 8″ of snow. Today the sun shone though it was cold, and on Wednesday it’s supposed to snow again. Our snowpiles are 8-10′ high.
About the remarkable moth–I checked out the yarn and it says worsted–is that worsted weight or worsted-type spin. what size needles? It looks to airy and lacy to be worsted weight.

  10. Beautiful knitting, as usual!! Say, did you have to pay extra for your beverage coolers on the end tables outside???

  11. What a wonderful get-away!
