It just goes against my grain to be a monogamous knitter. I can’t do it. I was slugging along cruising through Miralda, adding beads with excruciating slowness at the speed of light. It’s gorgeous.
Yesterday, this showed up.
(Who needs a lightbox when you have an unmade bed? Ha!)
It’s my latest installment of Plucky Classics from who else but The Plucky Knitter. With all the snow we’ve had around here, I needed something for spring. I immediately started digging around for a lace pattern to make a scarf. Every jean jacket needs something to jazz it up!
This is Silver Bells. Here’s the pattern. (The website takes forever to load!) There’s a yarnover missing in row 11! This yarn is heavenly soft. It’s taking me forever to knit because I keep stopping to look at it and to pet it.
Guess what I’m doing today? Well, besides finishing a dozen loads of laundry, showering, making dinner, and general clean up. I’m going to run away. I’m going to the motorhome by myself for a couple of days. The messes are annoying me. The kids banter is annoying me. They way they breathe is annoying me. I’m annoyed that I’m annoyed. I’m annoyed with myself, although I can’t get away from me! My hero looked at me last night and said, “It’s time.” He’s such an awesome guy.
I’m going to finish this.
And I think I need to start this.
This is Whisper Merino Lace from The Woolen Rabbit. I’ve been talking about starting Maplewing. I think it’s time.
I’m also going to do a bunch of quilting. I’m not sure yet what. I need to dig through the sewing room first. If you stop back on Monday, I should have lots of stuff to show you.
Oh, and I’m going to sleep.
