Can I just tell you how much I’ve been sitting on my back side? A lot! But my hands are always busy!
Remember the Eyelet Cardi? I was having trouble with the front edge rolling. The pattern suggested adding grograin ribbon to the fronts if that was a problem. So I did. And it worked.
I bought the ribbon without even having the sweater along, and it’s perfect. It has a little white line running through the center of it.
This is just an excuse to show you a photo of the hollyhocks on the edge of our patio. And to show you that I only have the ribbon sewn on one edge. I’ll do the other side today. I promise….maybe.
And I’ve been knitting, and knitting, and knitting on Ishbel. It doesn’t look a lot different than the last post, except I’ve done more lace repeats.
Here she is, just hanging out with the daisies.
I loved the shadow on this one. The color is more accurate too. (You know that photoshop thing…the software and a honkin big “how to” book should be waiting for me at home.)
And this is where I’m going to be in just a few minutes.
If you look in the background, you’ll see an umbrella and a chair. The pool is there too. And Ishbel is going with me, so I won’t be lonely. My Hero is in meetings today, and our friends are off hiking. But I have Ishbel…and that lounge chair.
My motto for the day: “Go forth and be lazy.” Don’t tell my kids I said that!
