Passing Down Crazy

Because Sometimes the Best Thing You Can Give Your Kid is an Addiction…To Yarn

Laziness Abounds

Can I just tell you how much I’ve been sitting on my back side?  A lot!  But my hands are always busy!

Remember the Eyelet Cardi?  I was having trouble with the front edge rolling.  The pattern suggested adding grograin ribbon to the fronts if that was a problem.  So I did.  And it worked.

I bought the ribbon without even having the sweater along, and it’s perfect.  It has a little white line running through the center of it.

This is just an excuse to show you a photo of the hollyhocks on the edge of our patio.  And to show you that I only have the ribbon sewn on one edge.  I’ll do the other side today.  I promise….maybe.

And I’ve been knitting, and knitting, and knitting on Ishbel.  It doesn’t look a lot different than the last post, except I’ve done more lace repeats.

Here she is, just hanging out with the daisies.

I loved the shadow on this one.  The color is more accurate too.  (You know that photoshop thing…the software and a honkin big “how to” book should be waiting for me at home.)

And this is where I’m going to be in just a few minutes.

If you look in the background, you’ll see an umbrella and a chair.  The pool is there too.  And Ishbel is going with me, so I won’t be lonely.  My Hero is in meetings today, and our friends are off hiking.  But I have Ishbel…and that lounge chair.

My motto for the day:  “Go forth and be lazy.”  Don’t tell my kids I said that!

  1. Waaahhhh! I wanna be lazy too!!!

Too much work going on around here, but I guess I can’t complain about that, since it pays our bills. 🙂

  2. Sounds like an awesome motto for the day! I hope you enjoy yourself.

The ribbon is perfect for the sweater, and I can’t believe how well it works! Awesome! 🙂

  3. I love the flower shadow! Just perfect!

You are an amazing knitter! WOW! You always just blow me away!

  4. ahhh lucky you and lucky Ishbel! now we have to buy the new pattern Damson!! They keep doing this to us enjoy the rest of your trip

  5. You aren’t being lazy. You’re making your own clothing. It’s downright industrious and pioneer-like. It’s also healthy, you’re getting vitamin D from the sunshine. (I’m a master at rationalization.) Love the color of your eyelet cardi – I’ve made one and it’s a fun, fast knit.

  6. Liar, Liar pants on fire!!! You started another project and the ribbon did not get done.

    Your HERO
