Because Sometimes the Best Thing You Can Give Your Kid is an Addiction…To Yarn

Ohmygoodness! Ohmygoodness! Ohmygoodness!

I found out a few days ago that I won a contest at The Loopy Ewe.  It’s their third anniversary, and they’re giving away a bunch of prizes.  And who doesn’t love free yarn?

Well, my package came today and it isn’t just free yarn.  It’s awesometastic, gorgeous, amazing free yarn.

I opened the package and this is what I saw.

I promptly  called my mom to tell her about my free yarn.  As I was talking to her, I realized that I hadn’t fully opened the tissue paper.

Three gorgeous skeins of yarn!!!!  Free yarn!!!!  Awesometastic yarn!!!

The bellamoden decided it wanted to go for a swim.

Don’t worry!  I didn’t drop it.

Then the Chewy Spaghetti wanted a photo shoot in the flowers.

And then there was Wollmeise.  Yes!  Free Wollmeise. It just wanted to bask in the sun.

And. in usual Loopy Ewe style, there were extra goodies.  There was some yummy smelling soap, a Loopy Ewe pin, and a Loopy Ewe book with Post-it paper in various sizes.  I’m going to have to hide that from my kids!!!

Can you tell how tickled I am about my package???  It just made my day.  Well, that and the fact that all my darling children are in school.  (I get them back in a few hours, you know.)

I have ordered numerous times from The Loopy Ewe, and each time has been a treat.  Shipping is unbelievably fast, the goodies are fun, and I’m always pleased with my yarn purchases.  So, if you haven’t ordered from Sheri, maybe today is the day!  And  check out her blog.  There’s still one contest left.  Maybe you’ll win some of this awesometastic yarn!!!

Here’s one more shot of that gorgeous Wollmeise.  It already told me it wants to be something lace!

Did you notice that I linked The Loopy Ewe six times in this post?  Go check it out!  Right now!

Thanks, Sheri!!!!!

  6. You’re so welcome, Maria! We’re having a lot of fun sending out prize packages, and it looks like this one made it to a great home. Your photos are beautiful!

  7. What a treasure. You deserve it.

  8. mmm, wonderful, yummy yarns! cannot wait to see what you’ll make using them :))))

  9. Oooh pretty! You’re a lucky, lucky woman.

  10. I read on TLE Blog that Maria from MN won – I was thinking – there is only 1 Maria in MN who knits – gotta be you, and it is!

  11. Congratulations! What fun!

But you know, it was “meant to be.” Otherwise, you might run out of yarn and then couldn’t post things for us to drool over. All lovely things.

    On the other hand:

Pls. don’t fall on the floor laughing, but I had to “laugh” at the post-it Notes. Have you PRICED those things lately? Excuse me, 3M Post-It Notes are … $6 a package now. For a regular sized pkg. that you need to have on your desk or near your phone. I refuse to buy that brand anymore — I wonder if the glue went to the moon and back and therefore drives the cost up ….

But no prezzie for Ms. Georgie Doggie?

  12. Sewing and reaping- no that’s not quite right- knitting and reaping-or?? I had the same thoughts as your mom. We must be sisters.
