Passing Down Crazy

Because Sometimes the Best Thing You Can Give Your Kid is an Addiction…To Yarn

Happy Dance!

It’s finished!!!!  I did it. I think I may have conquered the hate part of my love hate relationship with my quilt machine.  I am now the boss!!!

I love everything I did.  The only think I’m not thrilled with is that little yellow border.  I didn’t do anything in that border because I didn’t want to ruin it.  In the past, I’ve not been thrilled with what machine quilters have put in little borders.  How stupid is that???  So…I will put binding on it this week, and a full photo shoot will follow!

My first item for today (and yes, I’m aware that it’s already 9 AM) is to clean up that stupid closet of mine.  It’s hard to find something to wear when it’s all in a big pile on the floor.  After that, I’m getting ready for a quilt retreat.

Eight of us are Quilting at the Asylum.  My husbands new office is part of a technology campus that used to be a State Hospital.  You wouldn’t know it to look at his office now, but it was really scary when we started renovating it.  There were some doors with five locks on them.  One of the ladies that is quilting used to work there, so I’m sure she’ll have an interesting point of view for us.

We’re quilting from Thursday through Saturday, so stay tuned for Stories from the Asylum.
