That’s how much timeI was going to spend in my sewing room. I walked into my sewing room at midnight on Tuesday night. I wanted to find fabric for this Pinwheel Sampler Quilt Along. It didn’t take me long to pick out my fabric. You’ll see more after we actually start.
Then I started playing with some other patterns and fabric. By 3:00 AM, I had half of the blocks done for a very fun, easy quilt.
I used to think that a Wow quilt had to be complex and have a million pieces. That’s so not true. I think this quilt took me about five hours to make. It was so much fun!
I’m eagerly awaiting the backing. I know exactly how I’m going to quilt this quilt.
Speaking of happy…
Frankie had a great day today. He’s the one on the back of the sled, wearing his Life Is Good hat. His class went snowshooting (that’s what he calls snowshoeing). Then they got to sled for the last part of the day. It was a gorgeous day, and the kids had a blast!
I’m still playing with my camera and Lightroom. I was playing with my 50 mm lens the other night and was looking for something to photograph. My mink and cashmere yarn just happened to be in the right place at the right time.
I think I just figured out what I want to do with the rest of my Friday night. That yarn is calling me.
My weekend is going to include cleaning The Genius’ room, (Dreamboy is taking it over), working on Frankie’s sock monkey quilt, and a football party. We’re in Vikings country and we’re playing the Dallas Cowboys, which is where my family lives. I’m not a football fan at all, but it would be fun to have bragging rights for this year. And it’s a great excuse to get together with friends and eat profuse amounts of mexican food.
And I’m going to sleep. I don’t think I ever went to bed before 2:00 AM, and it’s making my brain malfunction!
Have a great weekend! May it include sleep, knitting or quilting, and friends.
