Because Sometimes the Best Thing You Can Give Your Kid is an Addiction…To Yarn

Things That Make Me Smile

A snow day!  I know lots of people are so sick of snow, but I love it.  It’s peaceful to me.

Yarn!  I placed an order for some new Noro on Yarnbow on Saturday morning at 10:52 and it was in my kitchen 48 hours later.  I’m in Minnesota.  Yarnbow is in Austin, Texas.  Yarnbow rocks!

The two left ones are Flower Bed, the two middle ones are Grassland Silk, and the right one is Cashmere Flavor.  They make me smile.

I started a stocking cap for Dreamboy in neon pink and orange.  He picked out the yarn.

I haven’t decided yet if its making me nauseous or if it will make me smile.  The verdict is out on this one.

I have stew in the crockpot that is making my nose smile!  Now I’d better go see if my sewing room makes me smile.  It’s pretty messy!

  1. You know; you guys could share some of that snow. You’re making us Wisconsinites look bad!
Just kidding, but we have had a pretty mild winter here. I’m still not tired of making comfort food yet.

Wow – you may have to put sunglasses on when knitting with the Scarlet Fleece! At least you won’t lose Dreamboy in a crowd if you make him a hat! 🙂

  2. I’ve ordered from Yarnbow before and I too am a big fan. I work in Austin and a few years after my initial order I found Yarnbow store quite by accident. Really… it was an accident. Really… 😉

  3. The snow is gorgeous! And the yarn colors dreamy!

  4. Don’t you have a pool?

The yard is just beautiful! I’d be more than happy if you send some it my way.

I never thought you’d meet a set of bright colors you didn’t like!
