Since when did this become a cooking blog???

Since I embarked on 18 inches of black stockinette on size 2 needles.

What do these three items have in common?

They’re all in this chili recipe, silly people!  I did pick the marshmallows out of the hot chocolate mix though.   Rather than leave it on the cooktop, I threw it in the crockpot (bless that thing!!!) to simmer for the afternoon.  I left out the habanero.  There is no way my family would eat that.  I’m not telling them it’s made with turkey either.  I have a big bag of Fritos scoops and some cheese to round it out.  Yum!

Now I have a crockpot full of yummy chili, a messy kitchen…and  nine inches of black stockinette.

Anyone want the rest of the can of beer???  Yuck!

  1. Wow – that does look good! Gotta love the inventer of the crock pot… I checked out the recipe too and I may have to print that one off. There’s nothing wrong with a good food post in amongst some good knitting. Good luck with that black stockinette! The sleeves (and Hero) look good at this point 🙂

  2. When is dinner, after battling illness for the last 2 weeks I would love a bowl of chili, with sour cream, cheese and chopped raw onion on top please!!!! I agree about the beer! YUKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

  3. 9 inches! Half way through the 18!!
    That chili looks awesome.
