Socks That Rock…Not Just For Socks!

I blocked my Cloud Chaser Vest.

I didn’t wet block it.  I just pinned and steamed it.  Good enough for now!  And look at that great cable!

I’m using Socks That Rock Heavyweight.  The recommended gauge on the ball band is 6 stitches per inch.  I’m using a size 6 needle and knitting it at 5 stitches per inch.  In my opinion, this is a great yarn choice for a sweater project!  The designer recommends a drapey yarn, and this isn’t quite as much, but I hope think it will be a good choice!

The construction of this vest is very unique and I’m loving it.  I just picked up all the stitches and started the shawl collar.  It’s going to take me a while!  So, I’m sitting on my bed with the ceiling fan going and I’m knitting away.  (Actually, I’m blogging right now, but I’ll be knitting again soon.)  It’s quiet here.  The kids went to an afternoon movie, and I have my favorite knitting companion with me.

Love that nose!

Back to my knitting.  Shhh!!!  Don’t wake the dog.

  1. What beautiful cables! The color is very soothing. The construction is intriguing. Can’t wait to see it finished. Having a dog near you when you knit – very cozy. Enjoy your quietness for the moment.

  2. It looks lovely! I am knitting this also, I love the cables in it.
