Passing Down Crazy

Because Sometimes the Best Thing You Can Give Your Kid is an Addiction…To Yarn

Have You Ever Knit On a Throne?

You should see where I’m knitting.  It makes me laugh every time I think about it, because it’s so not me!!!

I’m pretty sure the decorator designed it for knitting, because it even has a light inside that shines right down on my project!

We’re in Colorado for 5 days.  As usual, I’m knitting and My Hero is sitting in boring meetings.  I hope he at least has a view of the gorgeous blue sky while he’s sitting there!!!

I’ve also got this to look at.

I think the reason I’m finding this so amusing is that I’m spending my knitting time at home on my unmade bed, looking at yarn thrown all over.  And the ceiling fan/light over my bed has 3 out of 4 lightbulbs burned out.  And the kids come in at regular intervals and expect me to play Judge Judy.

I think I’ll just enjoy it while I’m here!

I’m working on the fronts of my Keelin cardigan.  I finished the back at home.

The color is pretty accurate on this photo.  Look at the sheen on that cotton!  Love it!  I didn’t plan to match my knitting bag.  I just grabbed one on the run right before we left home yesterday.

I’m just going to sit here on my throne and knit.  It sounds so goofy, doesn’t it?

My poor toes need a pedicure, but I can buy a lot of yarn for the price of a pedicure at this hotel!!!  I think I’ll just slop a new layer of polish over the old color.  Add some Curel lotion, and I’ll be good to go!

  1. I was envisioning a different kind of throne!!

Peace, quiet, elegance and knitting, what else could you want? Oh, a pedicure.

  2. Yum. That looks like The Broadmoor. Best beds in the world! I have spent some quality knitting time in one of those beautiful rooms.

  3. Phew…For a second there I thought you’d redecorated! I would have had to put that in the what-was-she-thinking file. Enjoy your peace and quiet, Queen Maria.

  4. Enjoy!

I love how your blog title was so mischievious 😉

  5. Despite the odd places where I have been knitting, I can’t say that i have knitted on a throne.
Looks like a place I would not like to leave. Enjoy!

  6. Enjoy yourself in the luxury. The sweater you’re knitting looks great.

  7. Have a great time! I could go for a few days of silence and luxury. You always make me laugh, I love your description of your at home knitting venue. Sounds like mine. Colorado is so beautiful. Love your Keelin!

  8. That is quite the awesome knitting space! Enjoy it!

  9. What is the cotton yarn you are using?
