I just spent two days quilting with friends at My Hero’s office. What a treat!
For the past 13 years, I’ve always done a retreat at my house. My Hero would take the kids and go somewhere for three or four days. It just didn’t happen this summer. Now that the kids started school, they just couldn’t leave! So we decided to retreat at the office instead. And I didn’t have to clean my house!
I finished two projects. I’ll get outside and do photo shoots soon.
I do have a really cute quilt to show you though. I didn’t make it, but I loved it!
It’s a pattern called The Birthday Collection by Heather Mulder Peterson of Anka’s Treasures. This quilt was done by Heathers mom, Deb, for one of her grandsons. The fabric is Wheels by Riley Blake. If you look closely at each present, you’ll see a number in the left corner. Each year, at the grandsons birthday party, everyone at the party will sign the block. Isn’t that a great tradition! I love this quilt!
My weekend is going to include a fire in the outdoor fireplace, enjoying the fabulous Minnesota fall, proofing a cookbook, and catching up on laundry. Oh, and there’s a Nascar race after church tomorrow.
I hope y’all have a great weekend and that it includes quilting or knitting. Isn’t that what makes a weekend great?
