There’s no way on God’s snow covered earth that I’m going shopping on Black Friday. I’m guessing there are going to be a lot more bargains between now and Christmas. And…I hate buying gifts and I’m putting it off as long as I can and it’s only November yet.
I’ve been decorating though. I’m not a total scrooge!
I bought this tree at least 10 years ago. It’s a pain in the rear to haul in the house. There’s concrete poured into the base, for pete’s sake!!! My Hero is feeling pretty good though, because he’s the executive in charge of lights and every string of lights worked!
We had guests over yesterday for Thanksgiving. I used the Christmas dishes, but My Hero did the napkin folding, and they had a Thanksgiving theme. This is the swan fold, but could also be interpreted as a turkey. Right???
My parents were here from Texas for the coldest Thanksgiving in about 25 years. It really didn’t matter though because the sun was shining, the food was amazing, and we never left the house.
I finished a scarf (a while ago).
This is the Multidirectional Diagonal Scarf. Yep! A free pattern! It was my no brain project and I worked on it during volleyball games. I may need to start another one, because basketball season is about to start. I used two skeins of Noro Taiyo and knit til I ran out of yarn.
I really like this scarf a lot. It really should be blocked, but I may just start wearing it as is!
I’ve been spinning.
It’s a merino silk blend, but I don’t know where I got it and I’m too full of turkey to get off the couch. I’ll post details when I blog the finished project. Oh…I have another finished spinning project too. Oh, well. I’m still too full to get off the couch. I can see it from here, but it wouldn’t photograph too well across the room.
Time for a nap. Tonight is leftover night. Yay!
