Passing Down Crazy

Because Sometimes the Best Thing You Can Give Your Kid is an Addiction…To Yarn

Wow!!!  I survived Christmas shopping.  Then I had a wonderful dinner out and hang out time yesterday with My Hero’s mom.  Does that make her Mama Hero?  I do think she’s earned that title!

Wow!  Superblonde decided she’s in the mood to do more Christmas decorating.  She did the railing last night.

Wow!  My Hero’s grandma got to meet Jesus this morning.  She was 98 years old and an amazing lady.  (I guess that makes her Grandma Hero.)    We were so blessed to have her for so many years.  Her favorite thing was praying for her family.  I’m so glad we still have Mama Hero to fill that role!

Wow!  This is what we woke up to this morning.

The snow was coming straight down.  We must have gotten another 10 inches last night.  As beautiful as it is, I’m wondering what Gran is seeing in heaven.  I’d love a glimpse!

Wow!  I’m behind on my Advent Scarf.  The kids have a snow day today and we’re just hanging out.  Maybe there will be some knitting time.  I’m hearing muttering about baking and wrapping gifts.  If the kids want to help, I’m all for it.

I’m fresh out of Wows!  I’m feeling pretty blessed today.  Life is good.  God is good.

  1. WOW – you do have a lot of wows 🙂 Especially in the snow dept. It’s almost insult to injury that you got another 10″ last night. That snow system peetered out before it could reach us in Cent. WI. You must have reached your quota on school snow days, huh? At any rate, enjoy all your beautiful lights, the prettiness of the snow, and warm snuggly kniting nights.

  2. Oh, sorry to hear about your (?) grandmother-in-law’s passing. I’ll bet she had some awesome stories to tell; just think of all that has transpired in the world in 98 years! Your house looks lovely all decorated, but the fireplace looks much better lit up in summer and surrounded by greenery!! I love the snow, but your little spot in the yard is meant for long warm summer nights. Enjoy your snow day!

  3. I live in the south and we have never had snow like that!!! That much snow deserves a double WOW…WOW from me.

  4. Wow is right! Look at all that beautiful snow! I’m so glad you’re sharing it with those of us stuck in less interesting climates. 😀

  5. sorry to read about your loss, and sort of envy you the snow, but only until next Saturday–after that if it never snows that is fine by me!!

  6. My sympathy to you in your loss. There is no better legacy she could leave behind than to be a prayer warrior for her family. God is good!

  7. Isn’t it great that our life doesn’t end with death when we’re believers?! It’s just the beginning! Prayer warrior – that’s a good one. Must use that. God is good. Amen.

  8. Great post.

  9. Wow! Even though I’m from Minnesota, I would look at my backyard after a snowfall and think I’m looking at a beautiful photograph. Your photo looks so… wow!

  10. Can I just day hoe impressed I am at how beautifully your spinning seems to be coming along. As one who has toyed with the idea of getting my own spinning wheel but been put off by how daunting and tricky it looks, you are an inspiration. BTW, love Michael W.Smith-) Happy Christmas!

  11. Ps. We have lots of the white stuff here too. Bringing the country to its knees (which sadly isn’t hard!) but it is beautiful and a blessing, even if we can’t always see it.
