Because Sometimes the Best Thing You Can Give Your Kid is an Addiction…To Yarn

Merry Day After Christmas

That was a lot of food, presents and chaos!  We’re at my parents in Texas for Christmas.  There are 29 of us!  There are 19 cousins, age 22 months to 21 years.

The prime rib and butternut squash casserole were the best!

Mom does a great job shopping for everyone.  My gift was a three month fiber club from Woolgathering.

The kids all had a great time and got along well.  The adults did too!

We had three generations of knitters in the house.

The Genius is on the left, wearing a sweater that was co knit by Feisty and her.  My shawl is the Miter Vee Capelet.  Mom’s sweater is a Drops pattern.  And yes, there’s been a lot of knitting going on, as well as some spinning  There may be some yarn shopping this week too.

I still have Christmas cards to send out.  Better late than never, huh?  I haven’t sent out a card in several years, so the first thing I need to do is update my name list.  The sooner I get at it, the sooner I can knit!
