Because Sometimes the Best Thing You Can Give Your Kid is an Addiction…To Yarn

Glimpses

I’m working on so many things, I’m confusing myself.  So I’ll just give you a sneak peek at a few of them.  None are secrets!  I just can’t finish anything to save my life!!!

I wound this.

It’s the yarn I spun last week.  I’m working on the rest of it this week.  For more details see this post.

I sort of finished a quilt.

Isn’t it gorgeous?  Don’t lie.  Tell the truth.  No!  It’s ugly.  Here’s a glimpse of what its going to be after I finish its makeover.

How fun is that?  More details after I finish it.

And, I’m still working on Keelin.  I’ve got the sleeve caps left and then it’s blocking and assembly time.

I should have shown you a glimpse of my laundry room because I did eight huge loads of laundry yesterday.  It’s all folded and put into laundry baskets and is ready for everyone to pick up and put away.  I don’t mind doing laundry, because when I’m done, I’m done!  I won’t have to tackle that job for at least a week.

I’m going to take my knitting and head outside because it’s a balmy 65 degrees here today.  The forecast is pretty sad, so I’d better take advantage of the blue sky today.

Coming up…I won something that I’ll show you as soon as I get it.  And I signed up for a Naked Bed quiltalong.  Doesn’t that sound like fun?

  1. Lol….so funny, as I was thinking what beautiful fall fabric…the next pic certainly knocked my socks off! I love that twister quilt and it greatly improved on the first flimsy! wonderful!

  2. I just hurt myself trying to figure out how the quilt in the first picture becomes the quilt in the second picture.

  3. you are such a diligent and good knitter/quilter (and person, of that I am certain) that I say you should be EXEMPT from doing the laundry!!!

  4. Love what you did to the quilt….it’s so great looking now! How did you do it?

  5. While there is not a thing wrong with plain blocks, I do like how jazzed they are in the second picture. Go for it! Lovely autumn colors in any case…
