Actually, it is raining today. But I’m more interested in the cats and dogs part.
Remember this ugly quilt?
The fabric is Max & Whiskers by Basic Grey for Moda. It’s darling cartoonish dogs and cats. This is what the quilt looks like now!
I used the new Twister tool to cut the first quilt apart and then is sewed it back together. The quilt uses a layer cake and two border fabrics. When I first saw this ruler, I wondered why anyone would sew a quilt together, cut it up, and put it back together again. It actually went really quickly. I would have had it done in a day if I’d stuck at it.
What else have I been up to this week? I did some spinning and blocked my Keelin sweater. Hopefully, I’ll have more on that soon!
And, it was my birthday on Wednesday. I brought my mom to the airport and did some shopping. I don’t love shopping, but I needed some things for our 25th Anniversary trip. More on that soon too!
My mom bought me yarn for my birthday.
The yarn is Unique Sheep Gradient yarn. This is Beach Sunset. It’s going to be a shawl someday! What a fun project.
I also got money from my mother-in-law. I’ve been waiting forever for a certain fabric to come out. It came out and its selling out fast!!! So I quickly ordered mine.
Now it is raining cats and dogs. I think it may be nap time!
Have a wonderful Easter weekend. I’m so thankful that God sent his Son to die so that we may have life. I am indeed blessed.
