Because Sometimes the Best Thing You Can Give Your Kid is an Addiction…To Yarn

Summer Shenanigans

There has been very little accomplished around here.  Maybe it’s because there are kids everywhere.  Last night was really fun!  There was pool craziness.

I had ribs on the Big Green Egg all afternoon.  My Hero finished them off when he got home from work.

The ribs were wonderful, along with red potatoes and a salad.

The guy on the left is my nephew and the one on the right is Dreamboy, with a fresh haircut!

The guy on the left is my cousin’s son.  Great kid!  I don’t know what the funny look is about.  Then we have Superblonde.  And, yes!  The Genius is here for a week.

Speaking of The Genius, she has this blocking:

Because I’m mean, I took all of the color out of the photo.  You’ll just have to wait for the model shots!

I started a two color project because I’m attending Camp Loopy.  If you haven’t heard about it, here’s the info.  So far, my knitting is really boring, so I’ll spare you until I get a little further into it.  Here’s the yarn I’m using though.

It’s Handmaiden Sea Silk.  Yum!

This afternoon, The Genius and I are going to get all of our yarn ready to dye.  Then when the mood hits us, the skeins will be ready to go!

I’m off to get Frankie.  He’s been at camp all week.  I think I’ll kiss him in front of his friends.  Ha!  Actually, he probably won’t care.

  1. Hahaha!!! I’ve been hearing advertisements for The Big Green Egg for a week now!! It’s nice to actually see what it is and in action too!!

  2. Wow! The cookout looks deeelicious! Great to have the family around the table. Hope your summer is filled with lots of sunshine, and lots of fun! Enjoy!

  3. If he’s been at camp all week, you might not want to kiss him (until he showers, that is). Not that I speak from experience or anything.

  4. Well now. Is your nephew single? And over 18? lol
