Passing Down Crazy

Because Sometimes the Best Thing You Can Give Your Kid is an Addiction…To Yarn

What a Week!

It’s been almost a week since my last post.  As you may have seen (if you read the last post) there was a photo of a U-Haul.  I told you it was my favorite company.

U-Haul is not my favorite company!

Let me tell you a little story.  My sister and her husband and two kids moved to Minnesota last weekend.  On I35 in southern Minnesota, the axel broke on their U-Haul.  They made it though, so all is well.

Did you get that?  MY SISTER LIVES IN THE SAME TOWN AS ME!!!!  I haven’t had any of my family living nearby for 23 years.  We are going to quilt like crazy.

Speaking of quilts, here is the next quilt in my quest to make all of the quilts in the Living Large 2 book.

The fabric is Delilah by Tanya Whelan for Free Spirit Fabric.  I know!  It’s not Moda, for once!  The pattern is Patchwork Posies, and I chose fabric that is very different than what Heather chose.  Here’s hers.  (Photo stolen from Heather’s blog!)

Here’s one more shot.

I’m liking it already!

I’m also working on a test knit for Kirstin Kapur of Through The Loops.

Here’s her post introducing the shawl.  When I read her post a few weeks ago, I contacted her and asked if I could test knit it, because I loved the combo of lace and cables.  I’m really enjoying both the yarn and pattern.  I’m using Sanguine Gryphon Bugga.  The color is Tomato Frog.  It’s not nearly as pink as my photo makes it look.  I’d call it a true red.

I’ll leave you with a couple of photos of cousin time!

Dreamboy and Frankie are inundated with girls and their giggling!

And there are dog cousins as well!

Life is very good!
