I’m Still Here…I Think

I seem to be going in circles lately.  My brain is scattered and I can’t seem to stick to anything!  I could knit for hours at a time, but other than that, I just jump from one thing to another.

For instance, I just realized I finished a pretty major project a couple of weeks ago and never blogged it.

Introducing Stheno!

I test knit this shawl for Kirsten Kapur of Through The Loops.  I knit the largest size and then made it even longer.  I ended up using over 1,500 yards of Sanguine Gryphon Bugga. The color is Tomato Frog.

Look at that texture.  I love the lacy element mixed with the cables.  It was an easy pattern to memorize and I never got sick of knitting it.  I’d highly recommend the pattern. I’m thinking it would make a gorgeous baby blanket or a throw with chunkier yarn. Hmmm…..

To finish off the shawl, a knit on border is added.

I think this will get a lot of use this winter!

Hopefully it won’t take another week for me to do a blog post.  I’ve got some quilting up my sleeve as well as some new knitting projects.  Oh, and it’s fall here in Minnesota.  I can’t even tell you how gorgeous the weather has been.  I need to store these days in my memory for when January hits!

G’night, all!

  3. That is stunning!

  4. Absolutely beautiful!

  5. I like the single blade of grass poking up through a yarnover in the middle photo 🙂

  6. So gorgeous! I wish we really had a fall season here. I do love the gorgeous colors and cooler days. We’ll be getting a break in the heat and humidity this weekend and I’m so looking forward to it. Will still need a/c in the daytime but I’m hoping we can open the windows at night for a day or two.

  7. Maria- That’s gorgeous. I love it and Bugga.
