Because Sometimes the Best Thing You Can Give Your Kid is an Addiction…To Yarn

The Butterfly by Romi

This is Palelehua, or butterfly, in Hawaiian.  The pattern is the first of a series called Patterns and Lace Club by Romi.  I’m just receiving the patterns.

The yarn is Spirit Trail Fiberworks Nona, and the color way is Autumn Aurora.  It’s a merino, cashmere, silk blend and it was heavenly to knit!  This yarn is from the Knitspot Club.  Yes, I believe in mixing my clubs up a bit.

The only change I made to the pattern was to add beads to the bottom instead of the loopy bindoff.  I wanted to put beads throughout the pattern, but there just didn’t seem to be the perfect spot for them.  I think this was a good compromise.

And now I must go!  The Genius has a very special day today and My Hero and I are going to share it with her.  More soon!

  1. This is just Gorgeous!!!! Love the beads. I’m soooo envious!

  2. It is beautiful! It was a very ambitious and daunting pattern. Glad it is done.

  3. Oh my! And it’s blue!
