Two Sisters Wedding Gift!!!

My sister and I are a great team.  As I may have said in my last post, we’re in Texas for a wedding.  My oldest niece’s wedding.  That means my sister is a mother-in-law!!!!

Anyway, my sister pieced a quilt top for her daughter and I quilted it.  I finished the binding a few hours before the rehearsal dinner.  Here are the happy bride and groom with their gift.

The quilt top is made entirely of batiks.  My sister did a fabulous job piecing it.  I did a pretty decent job of quilting it.  (And yes, I know how to make really large bows!)

Here’s another shot.

And last but not least, the whole quilt.

The groom is a pretty decent addition to our family!  We’re all pretty sure we like him a lot!  The wedding was beautiful, but then I knew my niece would be a beautiful bride.

And now it’s back to knitting!

  3. Congrats to the beautiful couple, I know they will treasure the gorgeous quilt forever. Your quilting is fabulous! Do you know which pattern your sister used?

  4. What a beautiful gift for them to treasure forever! You two make a great quilting pair!! That quilt looks huge!! It is nice to know I am not the only person to finish up on a project (especially the binding part) just hours before it is supposed to be given to the lucky recipient!

  5. Oh wow! That is an heirloom if I ever saw one. Totally awe inspiring. Best wishes to the happy couple.
