Five years ago today, our Passing Down Crazy blog was born. The Genius and I started the blog as a way to stay connected, as she was leaving for college.
I had planned to write a post outlining the projects I’ve done in five years, but I didn’t get the info compiled. Instead, we’ve been doing this:
Yes, that’s My Hero and I. We’re old, but we’re not dead.
And we did some of this:
The boat driver (Dreamboy) was not nearly as kind to them as he was to us!
There was knitting:
And some Olympic diving, along with watching hours and hours of the Olympics!
My Hero should get a gold medal for that dive, huh? It was about a 30 foot dive off that cliff!
We did lots of boating.
And enjoyed the quiet at the end of the day.
The last five years have flown by in the blink of an eye. The Genius is still knitting and has added spinning to her repertoire of fiber skills. (She keeps promising to be my guest blogger!) She’s graduated from college and has a great job in her field that she loves.
And today, exactly five years after the first blog post, we’re bringing Superblonde to college.
My heart isn’t ready to let her go, but I’ve seen how God has directed The Genius’ path in the last five years, and that makes me really excited to watch Superblonde flourish wherever God leads her. Our home is going to be really quiet without her, because she’s our loudest child. I hope the world is ready for her!!! Whatever she does, she’ll do with all her heart!
And now it’s time to buckle in and hang on for the wild ride that the next five years will bring!
Life really is very good!
