Too Stupid To Stitch

If you’re a certain age, you may remember Kirstie Alley on Cheers. She walked through the bar one night and loudly said, “I am toooo stupiddddd to live”.

Well, I guess I’m too stupid to stitch. I spent the better part of the afternoon, contentedly stitching away. You see, we’re having a snowstorm on April 18. We could see 10 inches before its over. The kids came home from school at noon so I decided to be a bum. I almost finished one motif on my project. It’s gorgeous.

And it’s in the wrong place. Now I’m going to very carefully pick it all off.

That is all.

  1. It’s like the tibetan sand paintings that the priests destroy after all that work. It’s lovely, and then it’s gone. It is really lovely!

  2. Hi Maria,
Your stitching is beautiful – and clearly it is hand stitching.

Have you seen the app that erases MACHINE stitching? Here-’s the link: It won’t help you with erasing hand stitching but thought you might find this helpful.

  3. Been there, done that! And you will probably do it again! I know I have 😦

  4. Maria, just chalk it up to being “snow blinded”. It’s the perfect reasoning. We got about 8″ I think. I’ll know better when husband goes out to shovel. We can hardly see out the windows, the snow is caked on soooo bad! Stay warm and cozy! Love your embroidery; very pretty design.
