Passing Down Crazy

Because Sometimes the Best Thing You Can Give Your Kid is an Addiction…To Yarn

My Most Useless Project Ever!

We had a quilt day today at a friends house.  It was such a nice, relaxing day.  And we get to go back tomorrow!

So…I spent all day finishing up the cross stitch and making this:

What is it, you ask?  It’s a biscornu.  Yes, it’s a glorified pin cushion with eight sides.

It is made of two four inch cross stitched squares.  Here are the instructions, if you feel the need to make something almost totally worthless.

Even though it isn’t the most useful item in the world, it makes me ridiculously happy.  I think it’s one of the cutest things I’ve ever made.  And I found the buttons in my button jar.  Look at this button!

It really doesn’t take much to make me happy!

And now I’m going to sleep, because we have another retreat day tomorrow.  I think I’ll stitch on circles tomorrow.

As if that’s any more useful!

  1. ROFL! It really is cute and looks like a tree ornament to me!

  2. That is so pretty!
I really don’t see the point of biscornus myself. I’d still love to make one (or three) though.

  3. So cute, love the cherries and it’s not useless if it makes you happy!
