It’s that time of year again. Prom! This year it was Dreamboy’s turn.
He went with a friend from church. It sounded like fun. They had an after prom party that lasted til 2 AM and then about 10 guys ended up here. They played video games for a while. When I got up at 8 AM, they were all sleeping. I made a big brunch for them, and the 5 girls that showed up at about 10 AM. I love teenagers and I like to cook, so I thought it was a lot of fun. Feeding teenage boys is so gratifying. They Hoover anything put in front of them!!! And if it’s big Belgian waffles with whipped cream, it’s even better!!!
I have a couple of knit items that I’ve finished the last month that I haven’t gotten around to photographing. The first is the Blue Lake Springs Shawlette by Carrie of Irish Girlie Knits. It was a fun, quick project to knit. I used Hazel Knits Entice yarn and it was heavenly!!! Of course, I don’t remember what needles I used or the color of the yarn! I’m sorry I don’t have another photo. I walked outside with the shawls, the dog, and my iphone. It’s Monday. I’m lazy!
The second project, I just finished last week. It’s been my mindless knitting for when I’ve attended concerts and stuff at the kids’ school. I can knit without even looking at it, and can pay attention to their performances. I’ve been working on it for more than three years. It was well past time to finish already!!!
You can’t see it, but there are tiny little buds on the tree. Usually everything is totally leafed out by this time. 70 degrees is feeling pretty wonderful today.
This is just a chevron shawl I knit with two different skeins of Noro Flower Bed. It’s really lightweight and I do like it, but I’m glad to be finished!
I’ll be back later this week with a fun giveaway!!! Lets just say I’ve been quilting this weekend.
