My Happy Place

I’m sitting in my happy place this morning, feeling a bit blue. Superblonde just left to finish her last year of college. Actually, she’ll be practice teaching there this semester and then she’ll be back here to practice teach next semester. She’s really only gone for three months.

She’s loud. She’s happy. She’s opinionated. She’s passionate. She’s lovely. I can’t wait to see where God will direct her steps. She and her little big brother and two friends just spent a week working at an orphanage in Haiti. She just wanted to stay there.

God knows.

So I’m sitting outside on this 63 degree, gorgeous, sunny morning, stitching the binding on Dreamboy’s quilt. He leaves next Friday for his freshman year of college.

Thank you God for loving my kids even more than I do. You’ve got this!

  1. What a beautiful sentiment and just what I needed to read today as I ponder the impending return to college for my twins who are also seniors and my younger son a sophomore. Indeed God does have this! Who am I to question His wisdom?

  2. There are blogging friends who make me laugh. Some make me laugh out loud. You are one of those… I don’t expect that I’m gonna cry reading one of your blogs. Today, I cried. You are something else, my friend.
