My Brain is Exploding!

I hinted in my last post that I had purchased another loom. It’s a monster!

It’s a Glimakra loom, made in Sweden. The instructions consist of a book of photos. Let’s just say it’s a steep learning curve. I put everything together and ordered a few missing parts. The U.S. division of the company is in Montana and they are very helpful.

I actually sit inside the loom to thread it.

Here’s what it looked like when I was done threading.

I wove on it for a while the other night, and then haven’t had time to get back to it. It looks like my calendar is clearing up after next week. I hope!

More later, after my brain recovers. At least I hope it will.

  1. Oh girl—–you should have taken my advice about the Cricket!

  2. Go big or go home! Can’t wait to see what you produce.

  3. Wow!! I know I want to weave at some time in the future. My current fixation is spinning, I’m going to try spinning wheels for the first time on Wednesday!!

  4. Oh, my, goodness!!

You are nothing short of amazing!!!

That intimidates me to no end, just looking at it!!

Perhaps, once I have more instruction under my belt, I will feel better about my adventures in weaving.

However, you are a wonderful inspiration.

  5. Yikes! I was asking for a lap loom for Christmas – really small potatoes next to your new loom! That is a really amazing piece of equipment. I hope it gives you hours of joy.
