Passing Down Crazy

Because Sometimes the Best Thing You Can Give Your Kid is an Addiction…To Yarn

Knitting, Quilting, and Camping

Wow!  It’s been a week since I announced that we were going camping.  On Sunday, I realized that although the kids had to go back home and go to school, I didn’t have to!  So…I’ve been camping all week.  Well, not all week.  I’ve been at home part of every day but one, going to volleyball, checking on homework, and just hanging with the fam.

I did get to spend lots of time knitting and quilting though.  It always amazes me how much I can get done without the distractions of home.

I worked on this!

and this

and some of these

I finished this

and this (almost)

I hate the border fabric I bought for this.  If anyone has any red 3 Sisters Gingham Rose or 3 Sisters Favorites they’d like to sell, let me know.  It’s impossible to find.

I made a shawlette!  The yarn was a birthday gift from my mom.  Here it is blocking.

I wasn’t totally alone.  This little girl stayed with me.  It was nice to have someone to snuggle with, because it was cold and, as you may have heard, Minnesota had rain of epic proportions this week.

And now, we’re going camping again.  The boys want to ride the 4 wheelers and burn hotdogs and marshmallows and stuff.

I’ll be back next week with better photos of the finished project.  It’s supposed to be a gorgeous week.

Hmmm….maybe I should go camping!
