A Sunny Summer Quilt

I finished a quilt.  Finally.  I quilted it last summer and used a cotton batting so it would be cooler.  I finished the binding last night.  Good Grief. That’s all I have to say about that!

Actually, today is a good day for a sunny, summer quilt.  The wind chill is -34 degrees this morning.  The sun is shining, but it’s cold.  I’ve never seen the dog do her business so quickly!  (You really needed to know that, didn’t you?)

This quilt is part of a series of quilts I made from Living Large 2, a book by Heather Peterson of Anka’s Treasures.  The pattern is Patchwork Posies and the fabric is Delilah by Tanya Whelan.  I looked back at the blog post I did about it.  I didn’t think it was too bad because I finished it on September 15……2011.  Good grief again!!!

I used a paisley panto to quilt it.  I like it a lot!

And now I need to go clean up my bedroom.  I had to be very careful taking photos.  There is junk all over my nightstand and it looks like a yarn shop exploded on my chair.  Again……good grief!  Maybe some day I’ll become a responsible adult, but I highly doubt it.

  1. Wow! It’s absolutely gorgeous 🙂 The larger piecing really makes the most of the beautiful fabrics. Avis x
